John and Catherine have been in ministry for over 37 years since coming to Christ in 1975. They have two daughters and four grandchildren.
They have pioneered and assisted in planting churches in Flagstaff, Arizona in affiliation with Calvary Chapel and Foursquare. John and Catherine are both ordained under the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel.
They have served at the Highlands Christian Fellowship, where John served as the Children’s Pastor, Pastoral Care and Executive Pastor under Pastor Ken Hart. Catherine served as the Women’s Director, counseled women and mentored them through a ministry that she was instrumental in birthing. (Hearts on the Mend).
As Senior Pastors of the Mojave Foursquare Church, their desire is to minister to people, to equip the saints for service, and to help make Crossroads a significant church in the community by reaching the lost and making disciples for Christ; a place where decisions are made.
If you would like to contact them, you can call the church office at 661-824-2059 or their cell phones 661-618-5076 (John); 661-618-5076 (Catherine).
This year of 2016 we are looking forward to a year of becoming "radical disciples" for Christ.
It is a year of coming to the realization that we are on a "Transformational Journey" to wholeness.
We highly recommend that you study and apply 2 books -"Emotionally Healthy Spirituality" by Pete Scazzero; and "Maximum Faith" - Live Like Jesus - by George Barna.
To be a "Missional Church" is to be a church that is sent by God to function primarily as one, to be actively moving into a community to embody and enflesh the word, deed, and life of Jesus into every nook and cranny.
Here at the Crossraods Church in Mojave, we believe:
That every person, Christian and non-Christian alike, is valuable to God and to His Kingdom; people are important to God. 2 Pet. 3:9
“Doing church as a team” is God’s design for effective ministry. Spirit empowered serving is vital to God’s plan being accomplished in His church. 1 Peter 2:4-9
A simple presentation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ will impact and transform lives. Remaining true to the Scriptures is a balance we will seek to keep. 1 Cor. 9:22
God is worthy of our very best. It is imperative that a growing spirit of excellence should permeate every activity, not perfection but excellence. Col 3:17
Genuine love and caring relationships is the key to the life of the body of Christ. We will be courageous in solving problems in ways that honor God and builds character. 1 Cor. 13:4-8
That the most effective evangelism happens through spirit filled people living out the Gospel, and inviting people to church. Evangelism is a natural lifestyle of winning others to Christ. John 1:43
That every member is a minister who has been given gifts to be discovered and used for the equipping of the saints; we are a gift based, servant driven church. Eph. 2:10
We are committed to seek the lost, help to heal their broken hearts, give them a mantle of praise, and teach them to become oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord. The rebuilding of former devastations in their lives is key to wholeness. Isa. 61:1-4
In keeping with the Great Commission, every member should commit to a lifestyle of consistent spiritual growth and honest accountability. A genuine love for God is always first priority. Acts 2:42-47
